One way to profit from internet giveaways is to sign up as a free member and download all of the gifts. Just one internet giveaway will usually hand you virtually all that you require to make money on the web. You can usually download ebooks that you can resell, along with the sales website that you can use to sell them, and plenty of information on driving traffic to your offer.

However, there are better ways of making money from a giveaway. You will do even more if you have something to give away yourself, and build yourself a list of internet marketers who will buy from you.

Rosie Cottis has been contributing to internet giveaways for several years. These are her tips for how to profit from giveaways.

1. Offer a good gift – something that people will actually be glad to have.

2. Upload your gift and test your own signup process before the doors open. Most people will join in the first few hours.

3. Have a paid product that people will see immediately when they have signed up for your gift. You can have the upsell on the download page for the free gift. I find that a low priced offer works best ($5 to $15).

4. Send your subscribers the download page address by email, even if they already went straight there after they confirmed. Then they have another chance to buy your paid product.

5. Follow up with more emails via your autoresponder, either giving extra information or free bonus gifts.

6. Then you can begin to promote your more expensive products (or affiliate products). Remember that you want the free gift to bring you subscribers who will buy your later offers, so choose your free gift carefully.

7. Keep promoting the internet giveaway. If you do not yet have your own list, there are many free advertising methods such as safelists. Do something every day. This will add to your points so your gift is shown higher on the list.

8. If the giveaway offers a contributor upgrade where you have the chance to get your gift a higher slot, I always take it. It pays.

Finally, keep logging in to see the site statistics. Is your gift getting as many subscribers as others on the same page? How well is your upsell converting? Are your new subscribers unsubscribing right away, and if so, why? There are a lot of things that you can tweak to improve your sales.
